One season after hitting rock bottom and winning just four games, the New England team is once again dominating the AFC East that they ruled for so long with Tom Brady. We all have to agree that the GOAT was tough to replace, but the truth is that Drake Maye is carving his own path with impressive numbers.
Maye has the Patriots on a 10-game winning streak, where he has thrown for 2,627 yards with 18 touchdown passes, a 71.1% completion percentage, and has surpassed 200 yards in every game of the season.
Against the New York Giants, he did it again, leading the offense with 282 yards, completing 24 of 31 passes with two touchdown throws.
It was the return game for Jaxson Dart after missing two games due to the NFL's concussion protocol, and the Patriots simply destroyed New York with 395 total yards for a resounding 33-15 victory to make it clear that they are the team to beat.
New England's only losses came against the Las Vegas Raiders in the first game of the season, followed by their second defeat at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-14. But those results are in the past.
In a league where players like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Joe Burrow are struggling for a playoff spot with plenty of complications, second-year NFLer Drake Maye emerges making his own case to claim the MVP.
